The Hamburg Spring Fair transforms the Heiligengeistfeld into a place that smells of roasted almonds in the spring for four weeks, where the sounds of roller coasters can be heard and flashing rides can be seen. It is the first of three major fairs of the year – and at the same time, it marks the start of the season. What makes the Spring Fair in Hamburg so unique?
Around
250 exhibitors provide a varied program of rides, food stalls, gaming booths, and classic festival moments. Popular perennial favorites like the Ferris wheel, "Break Dancer," Wild Mouse, and haunted houses are present every year.
What makes the Spring Fair special is its pronounced family focus. Many offerings are tailored for children, especially on Wednesdays – Family Day, with discounted prices and special promotions. In addition, there are changing firework nights, a traditional giant flea market, and special themes like the historic carousel or themed areas with nostalgic rides.
An advantage: Admission to the fairground is free. You only pay for what you actually use – rides, food, or games. This makes the visit flexible and also easy to do spontaneously.
| Note: The other two fair events are the Hamburg Summer Fair and the Hamburg Winter Fair. There is no fair in autumn! |
