As soon as you step out of here, you are right in the middle of the neighborhood. The Reeperbahn, with its theaters, clubs, and bars, starts just a few meters away. During the day, things are still relaxed here, but in the evening, the area fills up with night owls.
A visit to Große Freiheit is a must if you want to learn more about Hamburg's music history – this is where the Beatles had their first major performances. Also not far away is the Panoptikum, Germany's oldest wax museum. If you're interested in seafaring, you can head toward the Hamburg Harbor.
From here, you can continue towards the Landungsbrücken to get a view of the Elbe and the harbor. Alternatively, you can head back to the St. Michael's Church if you haven't gotten off there yet.
